2.Why are tickets open for sale on the first day without any prior internet booking this year?
Opinions collected from previous festival-goers reflect how they find the service fee charged per ticket too high and would like to have other ticketing channels without the service fee. This year, ticket sales are directly run by URBTIX and HK TICKETING.  Patron can enjoy the alternatives(outlets, website, mobile app or telephone booking) of buying tickets at URBTIX and HK TICKETING (only for the screenings at HKCEC) once the ticket sales open, and conveniently schedule their time for the screenings they like.

3.How can I purchase VIP Pass?

Please collect your voucher at the URBTIX outlets or ticket dispensing machines before you redeem the pass at the HKIFF office on or before the specified date on the voucher.
