Consider it punk fusion cuisine. For those not in the know, Cowboy Bebop is an uber-popular TV series that serves up a heaping of disjointed cultural melanges. It is noir? Kung-fu? Thriller? Sci-fi? More like all of the above. Strange how it still manages to gel together, forming a genre-bender that is at once idiosyncratic and utterly unique. As a stand-alone feature outside of the popular series, The Movie features the Fab Four bounty hunters (and the dog) going after a vengeful bio-terrorist by the name of VincentˇK.who is supposed to be dead. Expect high-adrenaline action, ultra-cool ˇĄtude and plenty of quirky humour to go along with some very inventive visuals. |
