A film about the ambiguity of our values, linking journalism and film. Based on a real-life incident of international sex-trafficking, the film follows an aspiring trainee journalist who pursues an interview with the underage victim, zooming in on both his self-reflections about journalistic ethics and his manipulation of his girlfriend’s son. Sitaru (Best Intentions, 36th), Best Director at the Locarno Film Festival, explores complex issues of abuse in the search of truth, including his own moral dilemma as a filmmaker.
