The Quietude is the name of the ranch that shelters the seemingly perfect Argentine family, with its adult sisters bonding in deep affection and a mother who manages both husband and lover. Underneath this loving tranquility, though, lurk the dark lies of recent Argentine history that these women must navigate after the death of their husband and father. Trapero (The Clan, 40th) evokes truly magnificent performances by sisters Martina Gusmán and Bérénice Bejo, but above all by the matriarch, played by Graciela Borges.
