Devising a plan to modernise her father’s failing farm, a young woman counts on the local farm board's chairman to finance her ambitious project, only to become his prey. Marandin’s social realist sophomore feature, awarded with the “International Critics' Week 2020” label from Cannes, is an emotive drama examining the scourge of toxic masculinity in the agricultural world, where tradition is upheld against progress. Ironically, male animalistic instincts serve as the perfect tool for the heroine to achieve her objectives.
