Four young actors of a theatre troupe head to Kanchanaburi to visit the memorial site of the WWII “Death Railway”, only to find the museum closed. Their trip intersects with the story of a mysterious and distraught woman who vanished in the forest, where she is confronted by herself. Following Krabi, 2562 (44th), Thai filmmaker Anocha Suwichakornpong concocts a lush, lucid black-and-white reverie, continuing her ongoing ruminations on performance, landscape, memory and the spectre of history.
